  • 2014 Acquisition of Can-Tech by MSR Can-Tech Cathodes (PTY) LTD (South Africa)
Can-Tech markets its products world wide and is the global market leader is diagram cells. Can-Tech has delivered and modified diaphragm cells for the leading chlorine producers in the world, among others.

INTRODUCTION OF MSR ENGINEERING AND MSR CAN-TECH CATHODES

MSR ENGINEERING cc and MSR CAN-TECH CATHODES (PTY) LTD are two separate and independent companies under a Single Management Team and sharing technical resources and machinery utilization as and when required.
MSR ENGINEERING cc is located at 6 Kobalt Street, Vanderbijlpark, South Africa. Established in 1986.
In 1991 commenced servicing SASOL, a major Chemical/Petrochemical industry. The work entailed High Precision Engineering for various departments within the Sasol Group. The services also include fabrication and machining work for the Chlorine Department for the repairs of Cathode Cans, including bases, cell heads and copper plates.
In 2006 MSR Engineering manufactures new cathodes for ELTECH SYSTEMS CORPORATION in Chardon, OH, USA, under the license agreement for Sasol Group. There after undertook manufacturing projects for INDUSTRIE DE NORA in Italy and CAN-TECH in Netherlands also under licence to manufacture new Cathodes.
MSR CAN-TECH CATHODES (PTY) LTD is located at 10 Kobalt Street, Vanderbijlpark, South Africa. Established in 2014.
In 2014 MSR CAN-TECH was established for the total acquisition of CAN-TECH Netherlands, inclusive of all the machinery, jigs, fixtures, tooling, welding equipment, heavy duty roller for the rolling of the wire mesh including the full Intellectual Property rights and all detailed manufacturing drawings.
CAN-TECH with a long joint history of manufacturing cathode cans since 1975 and the manufacturing of heavy duty wire screens since 1930 and the energy saving per year. We are proud to say that MSR CAN-TECH CATHODES are the leaders in the world using wire mesh design cathodes.
